London-based Vollebak has opened its inaugural pop-up store, the "Spaceshop," in Copenhagen, designed and built by SAGA Space Architects—a team that develops advanced habitats for extreme environments from lunar surfaces to low Earth orbit.
SAGA works with the European Space Agency designing living quarters and labs for space missions. Their designs have been tested in the Arctic, Negev desert, and International Space Station, including a full-scale lunar habitat for ESA's astronaut training centre in Cologne and a lighting system currently aboard the ISS.
The collaboration aligns perfectly with Vollebak's reputation for revolutionary materials, including jackets crafted from finely woven metal fibres and garments made from authentic NASA-acquired fabrics previously used in real space missions.
The Copenhagen debut is the first step in a global rollout, with Vollebak planning to bring the Spaceshop concept to London, Tokyo, Dubai, New York, and Austin.
By partnering with SAGA, Vollebak demonstrates its commitment to pushing boundaries not just in materials science, but in creating retail experiences that genuinely reflect their space-age aesthetic and functionality.
This expansion into physical retail reinforces the brand's unique position at the intersection of high-performance outerwear, space-age materials, and fashion-forward design.
