Unlearning AI offers a refreshing analogue approach to artificial intelligence, one that intentionally exposes flaws rather than perfecting them. In a time when AI-generated images are becoming “cleaner” and more “perfect,” this project challenges our perception of reality, showing us what’s lost when technology erases imperfection. Using reconstructed 2000-piece puzzles, Unlearning AI presents portraits with visible seams, distorting identities to reveal the “imposter” beneath.
This series invites us to rethink our relationship with AI and consider the beauty in imperfection. By highlighting the constructed, often manipulated nature of digital images, Unlearning AI reminds us of the authenticity and rawness that human touch brings—a quality that AI’s perfection can often erase.
