Sega Forever programme
Classic Sega games are going to be delisted, but you can still grab them for free.
SEGA is quietly ending its mobile retro catalog, but not before giving fans one final gift: nine classic games are now completely free on iOS and Android with all ads and in-app purchases removed.
The titles include beloved hits like Crazy Taxi Classic, Sonic CD, Golden Axe Classics, and Streets of Rage 2 Classic. These were originally part of SEGA Forever, a 2017 initiative bringing old-school games to smartphones with freemium models.
As of June 17th, 2025, those restrictions disappeared. Each title now comes fully unlocked and ad-free. The catch? Once SEGA pulls them from app stores, they're gone forever for new users.
While SEGA hasn't issued official announcements, in-app notices confirm support is winding down. Players who download these games can keep them permanently, even after delisting.
It's a rare opportunity to own complete versions of mobile gaming classics at no cost—assuming you act before they vanish into digital history.
The games remain available for download on iOS and Android while supplies last.
