Pretty bonkers and fun Beeple’s exhibition “Regular Animals”which debuted as part of Art Basel Miami Beach’s Digital Art sector - Zero 10. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Andy Warhol, and Pablo Picasso are transformed into robotic quadrupeds.
Each “Regular Animal” unit takes pictures and “poops” works specific to the man they represent. Musk produces a “Cognitive Blueprint” and Zuckerberg makes “Metaversal,” for a total of 1,024 free prints and 256 free NFTs. As the robo-mutts trot around, they continuously snap photos, squatting to take a digital dump of an art print in accordance with its corresponding style. Zuckerberg’s looks like the Metaverse, Musk’s is black and white robotics, whilst Picasso is cubist and Warhol is pop art.
It’s tech satire meets art history, where the industry’s biggest egos literally produce disposable content on command.
